unknown feels: a queer writing retreat by declan wiffen When you’re writing, you’re trying to find out something which you don’t know. The whole language of writing for me is finding out what you don’t want to know, what you don’t want to find out. But something forces you to anyway. 

Do you write about things that go bump in the night? Do you lie awake wondering what you’d do if a little girl in a white nightdress stepped out in front of your car in a dark country lane in the middle of a storm?
