Our Accommodation
Each bedroom has a desk and chair, and there are extra plug sockets for laptops and phones in every room. Our bedrooms are single-occupancy unless you specifically want to share. Our beds are a mix of king, double, and twins.
We have two sitting rooms in the cottage so that you can peel away and read quietly if you don’t want to be with your main group. Each sitting room has a desk and chair too. There is a big central sitting room for large groups to do readings and socialise in the evenings.
Our group - taught - sessions are held in our sunny writing room, surrounded by greenery and writing together at our ten-feet-long oak table.
For larger groups, we join forces with Maggie and Eric at Bridge of Dee Station which is across the A75 from our house (less than two minutes’ walk). They offer two beautiful en-suite rooms fitted into the landscape of the old Dumfries to Stranraer railway line that their house was built for. These rooms come at a supplement of £250 per person and are en-suite.
We are still in the process of setting up an online calendar system. There is a minimum five-night stay for the cottage.
